The company has employed Brian Storie, who also runs his own oil services company, Hydropulsion Limited, on a consultancy basis.
Brian, who will support MSIS’ Aberdeen base, brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked in the oil and gas industry for over 20 years, both on and offshore.
His main responsibilities will be to help broaden MSIS’ product range and assist in the development of the company’s existing capabilities.
Brian commented: “I am delighted to be joining such a fast growing and forward thinking company as MSIS. These are exciting times for the firm and I am looking forward to the challenges which lie ahead of me.”
Neil McArthur, commercial director of MSIS, added: “We are thrilled to have someone of Brian’s talent and expertise join us at MSIS. His expert technical knowledge and vast experience within the industry means he will be a valuable addition to our team and will assist in ensuring the continued growth and success of the company.”
Working in a variety of sectors, MSIS undertakes waste management, high pressure jetting, CCTV surveys, LSA decontamination, vacuum tanker hire, specialist coatings, oil spill response services, environmental management services and vacuum transfer systems (VTS). The company currently has 35 full-time employees, although it regularly uses local agencies to hire suitably qualified staff to meet excessive demand when necessary.
Hydropulsion Limited supplies a unique range of oil well jetting equipment. It was set up by Brian after he sold his previous company Nortech Systems Limited - a high pressure jetting equipment business – to Denholm Industrial Services in 2001.
