MSIS – which has offices in Aberdeen and Invergordon – was commended in the Business of the Year category at the Highlands and Islands Business Awards ceremony at Drumossie Hotel.
David Skinner, MSIS’ managing director, was presented with a plaque and scroll on behalf of the company at the awards by Robert MacDowell, vice-president of US software company Microsoft, who was also guest speaker at the event.
Neil McArthur, MSIS’ commercial director, is delighted MSIS received the commendation and says the presentation caps a highly successful period for the company.
He said: “We were very pleased just to simply be short-listed and invited along to the awards and so we were thrilled to receive the commendation.
“In 2006, MSIS experienced incredible growth with a staggering 72% rise in turnover to £4.39 million announced in March and our projections indicate that sales will exceed £5.5 million by the end of this year.
“This commendation is another feather in our cap and as well as marking a successful period it also heralds an exciting time for MSIS as the company looks forward to further growth and success in 2008.”
Working in a variety of sectors, MSIS undertakes waste management, high pressure jetting, CCTV surveys, LSA decontamination, vacuum tanker hire, specialist coatings, oil spill response services, environmental management services and vacuum transfer systems.
